I’m Tom Broadhurst – a geographer and a photographer. Welcome to my website!
The images shown here are mostly drawn from my adventures whilst working for sustainable development and nature conservation around the world – notably in Bolivia, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Asia-Pacific.
I’ve taken pictures for organisations including WWF, Oxfam, UN, Uganda Conservation Foundation, Rhino Fund Uganda, The Cotton On Foundation, Thin Green Line Foundation, Conservation International, and the German development bank KfW.
Photography gives me a creative outlet in which to explore inter-related social and environmental issues. I aim to share stories about the beauty, diversity and resilience of planet Earth’s natural and human systems – to generate understanding of how people and nature interact, and ultimately explore how human societies can live in harmony with the natural world. This is the essence of sustainability – and its never been more important than it is now.
Originally from the UK, I am currently based in Castlemaine, Australia. Please contact me if you’d like to collaborate!
